  • Privacy Policy

  • Any product-specific conditions shown before purchase

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes your statutory consumer rights.

2. Using our website

You may use our website only for lawful personal or household purposes.

You must not:

  • Use the website fraudulently or unlawfully
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another person’s account
  • Introduce viruses, malicious code or other harmful material
  • Interfere with the security or proper operation of the website
  • Collect information about other users without permission
  • Use automated systems to scrape, copy or extract website content without our written permission
  • Use our photographs, designs or written content commercially without authorisation
  • Submit false, misleading or abusive information
  • Place orders for fraudulent resale or other unlawful purposes

We may suspend access to the website where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, fraud prevention or a material breach of these terms.

3. Eligibility to purchase

To place an order, you must:

  • Be legally capable of entering into a binding contract
  • Be at least 18 years old, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian
  • Provide accurate contact, billing and delivery information
  • Be authorised to use the selected payment method

Products purchased through our retail website are intended primarily for personal use. Please contact us regarding substantial commercial, resale or wholesale requirements.

4. Product information

We take reasonable care to ensure that product descriptions, dimensions, prices and photographs are accurate.

However:

  • Colours may appear differently across screens and devices
  • Dimensions are approximate unless expressly stated otherwise
  • Product packaging may occasionally change
  • Props shown in lifestyle photographs are not included unless stated
  • Images may not always represent the exact scale of a product within a room
  • Products described as a set include only the number of pieces specified in the description

Please check the product description, dimensions, materials and care information before ordering.

If you require clarification about a product, contact we@lilarasa.co before placing your order.

5. Handmade character and natural variation

Many Lila Rasa objects are made using traditional artisan processes, including casting, repoussé, metal shaping, carving, inlay work, hand painting and individually applied surface finishes.

As a result, pieces may show subtle variations in:

  • Colour and tone
  • Patina
  • Texture
  • Surface markings
  • Shape
  • Weight
  • Decorative detail
  • Placement of handmade elements

These variations are part of the individual character of artisan-made objects and do not ordinarily constitute faults.

This does not affect your rights where an item is damaged, unsafe, defective, incorrectly supplied or materially different from its product description.

6. Displaying products on our website

Displaying a product on our website is an invitation for you to make an offer to purchase it. It does not guarantee that the product is available or that we are obliged to accept an order.

Products remain subject to availability. Placing an item in your basket does not reserve it.

We may set reasonable quantity limits for certain products, collections, launches or promotions.

7. Placing an order

Please check your basket, delivery address and contact details carefully before completing checkout.

When you submit an order:

  1. You offer to purchase the selected products under these terms.
  2. We will normally send an order acknowledgement by email.
  3. The acknowledgement confirms receipt of your order but does not necessarily mean we have accepted it.
  4. A binding contract is formed when we send confirmation that the order has been accepted or dispatched, whichever occurs first.

Each accepted order constitutes a separate contract between you and Lila Rasa.

Please contact us promptly if you notice an error in your order details. We cannot guarantee that an order can be amended after processing or dispatch has begun.

8. When we may decline or cancel an order

We may reasonably decline or cancel an order where:

  • A product is unavailable
  • We cannot obtain payment authorisation
  • The billing or delivery information cannot be verified
  • We reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or unauthorised activity
  • A product, price, promotion or description contains an obvious error
  • Delivery to the requested address is unavailable
  • A quantity restriction has been exceeded
  • The order appears intended for unauthorised commercial resale
  • Accepting the order would breach a legal or regulatory obligation

If we decline an order after payment has been taken, we will refund the amount paid using the original payment method.

We will not cancel an accepted order arbitrarily. Nothing in this section affects your rights where a contract has already been formed.

9. Prices and VAT

Prices are shown in the currency selected or displayed on the website.

UK prices include applicable UK VAT unless expressly stated otherwise. Delivery charges and any other payable costs will be shown before you submit your order.

We may change prices at any time, but price changes will not affect an order already accepted.

Where an obvious pricing error has occurred, we may contact you before accepting the order and offer the option to:

  • Continue at the correct price; or
  • Cancel the order for a full refund

We will not increase the price of an accepted order without your agreement.

10. Payment

Available payment methods may include:

  • Visa
  • Mastercard
  • American Express
  • Diners Club
  • Discover
  • Maestro
  • UnionPay
  • Apple Pay
  • Google Pay
  • Shop Pay

Payment services are provided through Shopify and authorised payment providers. Availability may vary according to your location, currency and device.

Shop Pay Instalments are currently disabled. Klarna will only apply if it is displayed as an available payment method at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorised to use the payment method submitted.

Payment providers may carry out security, authentication and fraud-prevention checks. We are not responsible for a payment provider declining a transaction, but we will assist where reasonably possible.

11. Promotions and discount codes

Promotions and discount codes:

  • Are subject to their stated eligibility period and conditions
  • Must be entered before completing checkout
  • Cannot ordinarily be applied retrospectively
  • May exclude certain products, collections or delivery charges
  • Cannot normally be combined unless expressly permitted
  • Have no cash value
  • Must not be reproduced, transferred or used fraudulently

We may withdraw or correct a promotion before an order is accepted where it contains an obvious error or is being misused.

Withdrawal of a promotion will not affect an order already accepted under that promotion.

12. Gift cards

Where gift cards are offered:

  • They may be used only through the sales channel specified
  • They cannot ordinarily be exchanged for cash
  • Lost or stolen cards may not be replaceable
  • Any expiry date will be clearly stated before purchase
  • Refunds for purchases made using a gift card may be returned to the original gift card

Nothing in this section affects rights that cannot legally be excluded.

13. Preorders and made-to-order products

A product page will state if an item is:

  • Available for preorder
  • Made to order
  • Bespoke
  • Expected to have a longer dispatch period

Any estimated delivery or availability date is provided in good faith and may change because of production, artisan processes, customs or transportation delays.

We will notify you of a significant delay and provide any cancellation or refund options required by law.

Personalised, bespoke or custom-made products may not qualify for change-of-mind cancellation once production has begun. Your rights remain unaffected if the item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

14. Delivery

Delivery charges, estimated times and free-delivery thresholds are set out in our Delivery & Returns Policy and displayed at checkout.

Current delivery services include:

  • Royal Mail
  • DHL
  • UPS
  • Other suitable delivery partners where required

Estimated delivery times begin from dispatch, not necessarily from the date the order was placed.

We will deliver without undue delay and within the period agreed with you. If no delivery period has been agreed, UK consumer law generally requires delivery within 30 days.

Delivery estimates may be affected by:

  • Remote destinations
  • Customs processing
  • Severe weather
  • Carrier disruption
  • Public holidays
  • Incorrect delivery information
  • Events outside our reasonable control

We remain responsible for the products until they are delivered to you, or to another person identified by you to receive them, unless you independently appoint a carrier that we did not offer.

15. Delivery information and failed delivery

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

If an order cannot be delivered because the address supplied was inaccurate, incomplete or inaccessible, we may contact you regarding:

  • Redelivery
  • Collection
  • Additional reasonable delivery costs
  • Cancellation and refund where appropriate

We will not charge additional amounts without explaining them and obtaining any consent required by law.

If tracking shows an order as delivered but you cannot locate it, contact we@lilarasa.co promptly so we can investigate with the courier.

16. International orders, customs and duties

For orders delivered within the UK, no import duties apply.

For EU and US orders, Lila Rasa currently prepays applicable duties and customs charges so customers should not be asked to pay unexpected customs charges upon delivery.

For other international destinations, local VAT, import duties, customs fees or handling charges may apply. Unless checkout specifically states that these charges are included, they are the recipient’s responsibility.

Customs authorities may request personal information such as your name, address, telephone number or identification details to clear a shipment.

International delivery times may be affected by customs clearance.

17. Your right to cancel

If you are a UK consumer purchasing online, you normally have the legal right to cancel an eligible order from the date the contract is formed until 14 days after receiving it, without giving a reason.

If an order contains multiple eligible products delivered separately, the cancellation period generally begins after you receive the final item.

After notifying us of cancellation, you should return the products within 14 days.

Lila Rasa also provides an extended 30-day returns promise for eligible products, subject to our Delivery & Returns Policy.

Cancellation rights do not ordinarily apply to:

  • Personalised products
  • Bespoke or custom-made products
  • Products altered at your request
  • Sealed products that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons once unsealed, where applicable
  • Other products legally exempt from cancellation rights

These exceptions do not remove your rights where an item is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or not as described.

18. Returns and refunds

Before returning an item, contact:

we@lilarasa.co

Returns should be sent in accordance with our Delivery & Returns Policy to:

Lila Rasa Returns
36 Brentwood
Norwich
NR4 6PW
United Kingdom

For change-of-mind returns:

  • Products must be returned unused and in saleable condition
  • Original packaging, labels and accompanying parts should be included
  • You are responsible for the direct return cost unless otherwise agreed
  • We recommend using a tracked and appropriately insured service
  • You must take reasonable care when packaging the return

You may inspect a product as you reasonably would in a shop. We may reduce a refund where handling beyond what is reasonably necessary has diminished the product’s value.

When a statutory cancellation right applies, we will refund the original standard outbound delivery cost. Any additional amount paid for express or enhanced delivery does not have to be refunded.

For returns made only under our extended goodwill period, the original delivery charge is not ordinarily refundable.

Approved refunds will be made to the original payment method within the legally required period.

19. Damaged, faulty or incorrect products

UK law requires goods to be:

  • Of satisfactory quality
  • Fit for their intended purpose
  • As described

If an item arrives damaged, faulty or incorrect, contact we@lilarasa.co as soon as possible and provide:

  • Your order number
  • A description of the issue
  • Photographs of the item
  • Photographs of the internal and external packaging
  • A photograph of the delivery label

A request to contact us within 48 hours helps us raise a courier claim but does not limit your statutory rights.

Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer:

  • A replacement
  • A repair
  • A price reduction
  • Collection
  • Reimbursement of reasonable return costs
  • A refund

20. Product care and intended use

You are responsible for following the product description, installation information, safety instructions and care guidance supplied with a product.

Unless expressly described otherwise:

  • Decorative objects are not toys
  • Decorative products should be kept away from young children
  • Candle holders should not be left unattended with a lit candle
  • Candles should be kept away from flammable objects, children and pets
  • Wall décor, mirrors and hooks should be fixed using hardware suitable for the wall type and product weight
  • Installation should be completed by a competent person
  • Food-contact use applies only where a product is expressly described as suitable for that purpose

These precautions do not remove our responsibility to supply products that meet applicable legal requirements.

21. Website availability and accuracy

We aim to keep the website available, accurate and secure but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access.

We may temporarily suspend or restrict access for:

  • Maintenance
  • Security updates
  • Technical faults
  • Platform changes
  • Events outside our reasonable control

We may correct website errors and update non-contractual content when necessary.

Changes made after an order has been accepted will not alter the agreed product, price or essential terms of that order without your agreement.

22. Intellectual property

The website and its content—including photographs, product designs, graphics, logos, text, collection names, videos and page layouts—are owned by or licensed to Rudram Market Development Services Ltd and protected by intellectual-property laws.

You may view the website and make limited copies for personal, non-commercial shopping purposes.

You may not, without prior written permission:

  • Reproduce or commercially use our photographs
  • Copy product descriptions
  • Use our branding or logo
  • Manufacture products from our designs
  • Create derivative commercial content
  • Scrape or republish substantial website content
  • Suggest an affiliation, endorsement or partnership that does not exist

23. Customer reviews and submitted content

If you submit a review, photograph, comment or other content, you confirm that:

  • It is truthful and based on your genuine experience
  • You own it or have permission to submit it
  • It does not violate another person’s rights
  • It is not unlawful, defamatory, threatening or discriminatory
  • It does not contain malicious code, confidential information or unauthorised advertising

You retain ownership of your content.

By submitting content for publication, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, reproduce and adapt it for operating and promoting Lila Rasa. Where reasonably practical, we will honour an appropriate request to stop future promotional use.

We may decline or remove content where reasonably necessary for legal, moderation or authenticity reasons. We will not suppress a genuine negative review merely because it is unfavourable.

24. Third-party services and links

Our website may contain links to services operated by third parties, including:

  • Payment providers
  • Delivery providers
  • Social-media platforms
  • Review platforms
  • Shopify applications

Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for independent websites that we do not control.

This does not affect our responsibility for service providers acting on our behalf or for obligations that the law places on us.

25. Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or our failure to use reasonable care and skill.

We do not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Breach of statutory consumer rights
  • Defective products where liability cannot legally be excluded
  • Any other matter that cannot lawfully be limited

We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed.

If you are purchasing as a consumer, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, contracts, goodwill or business opportunity.

Nothing in these terms requires you to accept responsibility for loss caused by our breach or negligence.

26. Events outside our reasonable control

We will not be responsible for delay or failure caused by an event outside our reasonable control, such as:

  • Severe weather
  • Natural disasters
  • War, terrorism or civil disturbance
  • Epidemics or government restrictions
  • Customs disruption
  • Transport or carrier failure
  • Widespread internet, utility or platform failure
  • Industrial action not involving our own workforce

We will take reasonable steps to minimise the effect, communicate significant delays and perform our obligations as soon as reasonably possible.

If the delay becomes substantial, you may have the right to cancel and receive a refund for products not supplied.

27. Personal information

We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Shopify, payment providers and delivery partners may also process information necessary to complete an order.

Non-essential analytics and advertising technologies should only operate where the required consent has been obtained.

28. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Service to reflect:

  • Changes to our products or services
  • Changes to payment or delivery arrangements
  • New website functionality
  • Legal or regulatory changes
  • Security or operational requirements

The updated terms will apply from the date they are published. The terms in force when an order is accepted will continue to govern that order unless a change is required by law or agreed with you.

29. Transfer of rights

We may transfer our rights or obligations under these terms to another organisation as part of a legitimate business restructuring or transfer.

We will ensure that this does not reduce your contractual or statutory rights. We will notify you if a transfer materially affects you.

You may transfer your rights under these terms where the law permits or with our written agreement.

30. Severability and waiver

If a court or relevant authority finds part of these terms unlawful or unenforceable, the remaining terms will continue to apply.

If we do not immediately enforce a term, that does not mean we have waived our right to enforce it later.

31. Governing law and disputes

These terms and contracts made through lilarasa.co are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

If you live in another part of the United Kingdom or another country, you retain any mandatory consumer protections available under the laws of your usual place of residence.

You may bring legal proceedings in the courts available to you under applicable consumer law. Nothing in these terms requires a consumer to use exclusive arbitration or prevents access to a competent court.

We encourage you to contact us first so we can try to resolve any concern:

Product Care

Made to live beautifully

Lila Rasa objects are created by skilled artisans using traditional techniques such as casting, repoussé, carving, inlay, hand painting and metal finishing. Subtle variations in colour, texture, form and patina are part of their handmade character.

With thoughtful care, your piece can be enjoyed for many years.

General care

  • Handle decorative objects carefully and lift them from their base rather than delicate details.
  • Keep products away from excessive moisture, direct heat and prolonged sunlight.
  • Avoid abrasive cloths, scouring pads and household cleaning chemicals.
  • Remove dust regularly using a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
  • Never place artisan-made products in a dishwasher unless the product page specifically states that they are dishwasher safe.
  • Check the individual product page for any product-specific care instructions.

Metal décor and ornaments

Our metal objects may feature antique brass, aged gold, silver, gunmetal, painted or intentionally distressed finishes.

  • Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth.
  • If needed, wipe lightly with a damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Do not use metal polish, chemical cleaners or abrasive materials.
  • Avoid prolonged contact with water, perfume, hairspray, oils and household sprays.
  • Do not soak metal products.
  • Display indoors and away from humid areas unless the product is specifically described as suitable for outdoor use.

Natural oxidation and gradual changes in patina may develop over time. This is part of the material’s evolving character rather than a defect.

Mirrors

  • Clean the mirrored surface with a soft, lint-free cloth.
  • Apply a small amount of glass cleaner to the cloth rather than spraying directly onto the mirror.
  • Keep liquids away from the frame, backing and decorative metalwork.
  • Wipe metal frames with a dry cloth or a lightly damp cloth, then dry immediately.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners, metal polish or rough cloths.
  • Use appropriate wall fixings for the wall type and the weight of the mirror.

For larger or heavier mirrors, we recommend installation by an experienced professional. Wall fixings are not supplied unless stated on the product page.

Candle holders and candelabra

  • Position on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
  • Keep away from curtains, foliage, draughts, children and pets.
  • Never leave a burning candle unattended.
  • Ensure candles fit securely and remain upright.
  • Allow wax and metal to cool fully before handling or cleaning.
  • Remove cooled wax gently using a non-metallic tool.
  • Do not use sharp objects that could scratch the finish.
  • Never allow a candle to burn down into or against the holder.

Where practical, we recommend dripless candles or LED candles to help preserve decorative finishes.

Candle decorations

Decorative candle pins, wraps and ornaments are intended primarily for decorative use.

Remove decorative elements before lighting a candle unless the individual product is specifically confirmed as suitable for use while the candle is burning. Never allow a flame to come into contact with metal decorations, painted surfaces, foliage or other embellishments.

Glass, crystal and mirrored objects

  • Handle with clean, dry hands and place gently on stable surfaces.
  • Dust using a soft microfiber cloth.
  • Clean with a lightly dampened cloth and dry immediately.
  • Avoid sudden temperature changes.
  • Do not immerse objects combining glass with metal, mirror, resin or decorative finishes.
  • Do not use abrasive cleaners or place in a dishwasher.

Tiny bubbles, gentle ripples and slight differences in colour can occur in artisan-made glass and are part of its individual character.

Decorative boxes and vanity organisers

  • Dust the exterior and interior with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Keep hinges, clasps and decorative details free from moisture.
  • Avoid overfilling or placing excessive pressure on lids and compartments.
  • Keep cosmetics, perfume and oils securely closed to prevent staining.
  • Lift boxes from their base, rather than by the lid or clasp.
  • Do not use chemical or alcohol-based cleaners.

Jewellery should be clean and dry before being stored. Particularly delicate pieces may benefit from being stored separately in a soft pouch.

Hand-painted cutlery and serving pieces

Our decorative cutlery often combines brass, stainless steel, resin, enamel or hand-painted details.

  • Hand wash gently using mild soap and lukewarm water.
  • Dry immediately with a soft cloth.
  • Do not soak.
  • Do not place in a dishwasher.
  • Avoid abrasive sponges and strong detergents.
  • Keep hand-painted and decorative handles away from prolonged moisture.
  • Do not use in ovens, microwaves or over direct heat.

Individual product pages should clearly state whether an item is suitable for serving food or intended for decorative use only.

Wreaths, garlands and floral metalwork

  • Intended for indoor decorative use unless otherwise stated.
  • Lift and position the piece by its main frame rather than individual leaves, petals or branches.
  • Gently reshape flexible elements by hand when necessary.
  • Do not repeatedly bend metal components, as this may weaken them.
  • Dust with a soft brush, dry cloth or low-powered cool air.
  • Keep away from moisture, direct heat and open flames.
  • Store flat or securely supported to avoid crushing delicate details.

If displayed on a door, ensure the wreath or garland does not repeatedly strike the door, wall or surrounding fittings.

Wooden objects

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Wipe marks with a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately.
  • Do not soak or place in a dishwasher.
  • Keep away from radiators, open fires and prolonged direct sunlight.
  • Avoid silicone-based sprays and harsh furniture cleaners.
  • Use coasters or protective pads beneath objects where appropriate.

Natural grain, knots and small tonal variations are inherent qualities of wood.

Textiles, beaded pieces and tassels

  • Gently dust or use a soft clothes brush.
  • Spot clean only unless the product label states otherwise.
  • Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
  • Avoid pulling beads, embroidery, threads or tassels.
  • Keep away from jewellery, hooks and rough surfaces that may cause snagging.
  • Store in a dry place, protected from dust and direct sunlight.

For substantial staining, consult a professional cleaner experienced with embellished textiles.

Wall décor and hanging ornaments

  • Always use fixings appropriate for the wall material and product weight.
  • Check hooks, cords and fixings periodically.
  • Keep out of reach of small children and pets.
  • Do not suspend a product from a decorative component unless it is designed as the hanging point.
  • Avoid placing delicate or glass objects where they may be knocked by doors or furniture.

Lila Rasa cannot be responsible for damage caused by unsuitable installation or wall fixings.

Outdoor use

Unless specifically described as outdoor suitable, Lila Rasa products are designed for indoor use.

If an outdoor-suitable product is displayed outside:

  • Place it in a sheltered position.
  • Protect it from frost, heavy rain and prolonged sunlight.
  • Bring it indoors during severe weather.
  • Expect outdoor exposure to accelerate changes in colour and patina.

Handmade variations

No two artisan-made objects are exactly alike. The following may be natural characteristics of the making process:

  • Subtle differences in shape, dimensions or alignment
  • Variations in colour, brushwork and surface texture
  • Tool marks, solder marks and gentle irregularities
  • Differences in antique or distressed finishes
  • Natural grain, bubbles, inclusions or tonal variations
  • Gradual development of patina

These details are part of the object’s individuality. They should not affect its intended use.

If you believe your item is damaged or faulty rather than naturally individual, please contact us with your order number and clear photographs. We will be pleased to help.
